FOOT JUE YIN LIVER CHANNEL

- Spreads qi (maintains free flow)主疏泄
- Nourishes the sinews; manifests in the nails在体合筋，其华在爪
- Stores the hun (ethereal soul)主藏魂
OTHER CHARACTERISTICS
- The Liver corresponds to the wood phase and wind肝在五行中属木，在自然气候中应风
- The Liver governs uprising; in disharmony may rise excessively主升发，若失去平衡（失调），肝气可能会过度上冲
- The Liver is associated with such emotions as anger, irritability, frustration, resentment, depression, weepiness, and mood swing肝与以下情绪密切相关：愤怒、易怒、 挫败感 、怨恨、抑郁、喜哭（悲伤）以及情绪波动
LV Primary Channel
- Begins: LV-1 (hairy region of big toe) 起于大趾丛毛之际的大敦穴(LV-1)
- runs up dorsum of foot and medial side of leg 沿足背上行，经内踝前缘向上沿小腿内侧循行
- ascends to pubic region and curves around external genitalia 向上进入阴毛区域，环绕外生殖器
- runs up abdomen, curves around Stomach, enters Liver and Gallbladder 进入少腹（下腹部），夹胃两旁，属肝，络胆
- passes through diaphragm, spreads over lateral costal region 向上穿过膈肌，分布于胁肋部
- ascends along posterior aspect of throat, nasopharynx, and connects to eye system 沿喉咙（咽喉）后方上行，进入鼻咽部，连接目系（眼球连系于脑的组织）
- goes to forehead and connects to vertex (DU-20)上达额部，与督脉交会于巅顶(百会DU-20)
- Branch: runs down from eye system into cheek and curves around inner surface of lips
从“目系”下行穿过颊部，环绕在唇内
- Branch:from Liver, runs through diaphragm and connects to Lung and Lung channel
从肝分出，穿过膈肌，向上注于肺，连接肺经
Linkage: LV-14 → LU-1肝经通过期门(LV-14)衔接至肺经的中府(LU-1)Organs: LV, GB, ST, LU肝、胆、胃、肺Crossing Points:三阴交(SP-6)、冲门(SP-12)、府舍(SP-13)、曲骨(REN-2)、中极(REN-3)、关元(REN-4)、天池(PC-1)、百会(DU-20)PATHOLOGIES

connects with GB channel联络足太阳胆经ascends to genitals沿经脉上行至生殖器（阴器）Divergent Channel:Diverges: dorsum of foot 离（别出）：从足背处分出Ascends to pubic region 入（循行）：向上进入耻骨区域（阴股部）Converges with GB primary channel 合（汇合）：与足少阳胆经的主经汇合Sinew Channel: Originates on the dorsum of big toe起始于大足趾背侧Binds at anterior aspect of medial malleolus结于内踝前缘Ascends medial side of leg and binds at medial condyle of tibia沿小腿内侧上行，结于胫骨内侧髁（膝关节内侧）Continues up medial thigh to genitals沿大腿内侧继续上行至生殖器Connects with other sinew channels在此与其他的经筋（足三阴经筋）相联系Jing-Well (Wood) Point 井穴（属木）Lateral side of big toe, 0.1 cun from the corner of nail. Needling: ⊥ 0.1-0.2 cun, or prick to bleed足大趾外侧（靠第二趾一侧），距爪甲角0.1寸，直刺 0.1-0.2 寸，或点刺出血。FUNCTIONS功效
- Regulates qi in lower jiao, treats shan disorder, alleviates pain调理下焦气机，治疗疝气，缓解疼痛
- Treats genito-urinary disorders治疗泌尿系统疾病
- Regulates menstruation调节月经周期
- Revives consciousness and calms shen苏厥醒神，宁心安神
INDICATIONS症状
- the seven types of shan disorder, pain and swelling of the genitals, pain of the umbilicus七种疝气（泛指下腹部或腹股沟部疾病）、生殖器肿痛、脐周疼痛
- pain, swelling, or retraction of genitals; the five types of lin syndrome (painful urinary dribbling), blood in the urine生殖器疼痛、肿胀或缩入（阴缩）；五淋（各种尿急、尿频、尿痛症状的总称）、血尿
- irregular menses, profuse menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia), spotting between periods (metrorrhagia)月经不调、经血过多（月经过多）、崩漏（非经期出血或阴道出血淋漓不尽）
- loss of consciousness, epilepsy, fear and fright, mania-depression, worry and sighing神志不清（昏厥）、癫痫、惊恐、癫狂抑郁、忧郁及叹息（善太息）
Ying-Spring (Fire) Point 荥穴（属火）Between 1st and 2nd toes, 0.5 cun proximal to web margin.Needling: ⊥ 0.5 - 0.8 cun; ∠ 0.5-1.0 cun towards heel足背侧，第一、二趾间，趾蹼缘后方 0.5 寸处。直刺 0.5 - 0.8 寸；或向足跟方向斜刺 0.5 - 1.0 寸FUNCTIONS功效
Clears Liver fire and descends Liver yang清肝火，平肝阳Extinguishes interior wind平息体内肝风Cools blood and stops bleeding凉血止血Clears damp-heat from lower jiao清下焦湿热INDICATIONS症状
headache, dizziness, red eyes, bitter taste in mouth, tinnitus头痛，眩晕，目赤肿痛，口苦，耳鸣counterflow cold in four limbs, propensity to anger, throat obstruction四肢厥冷，易怒，喉痹（咽喉梗阻感）wind stroke, contracted sinews, deviation of eyes and mouth中风，筋脉拘急，口眼歪斜profuse menstrual bleeding, coughing up blood, vomiting blood月经过多，咳血，吐血itching and pain of genitals, painful urination, shan disorder, vaginal discharge阴部瘙痒疼痛，尿痛，疝气，带下病Shu-Stream (Earth) Point 输穴（属土）In hollow distal to junction of 1st and 2nd metatarsals. Needling: ⊥ 0.5-1.5 cun towards KI-1足背侧，第一、二跖骨结合部之前的凹陷中，直刺0.5 - 1.5 寸，针尖可指向涌泉 (KI-1) 方向FUNCTIONS功效
- Subdues Liver yang and extinguishes interior wind平肝潜阳，息内风
- Nourishes Liver blood and yin滋养肝血、肝阴
INDICATIONS症状
- headache, dizziness, opisthotonos, epilepsy, deviation of eye and mouth头痛，眩晕，角弓反张，癫痫，口眼歪斜
- pain in lateral costal region, sighing, irritability, outburst of anger, breast distention胁肋疼痛，善太息，烦躁，暴怒，乳房胀痛
- blurred vision, cracked lips, painful or dry throat视物模糊，唇裂，咽喉痛或咽干
- amenorrhea, irregular menstruation, prolonged uterine bleeding, insufficient lactation闭经，月经不调，崩漏，产后缺乳
- enuresis, difficult urination, retention of urine遗尿，排尿困难，尿潴留
- cramps, stiff low back, contracted sinews抽筋，腰脊强痛，筋脉拘急
Anterior to medial malleolus, in depression medial to tibialis anterior tendon. Needling: ⊥ 0.3-0.5 cun内踝前缘，当胫骨前肌腱内侧的凹陷中。针刺：直刺 0.3 - 0.5 寸5 cun above medial malleolus, just posterior to crest of tibia. Needling: ⊥ 0.3-0.5 cun内踝尖上5寸，胫骨内侧面的后缘（紧贴胫骨嵴后方）直刺0.3 - 0.5寸（或平刺）FUNCTIONS功效
- Moves Liver qi and benefits genitals疏肝理气，利生殖器
- Clears damp-heat from lower jiao清下焦湿热
- Regulates menstruation调理月经
INDICATIONS症状
- itching, swelling, and pain of the genitals, sudden swelling and pain of the testicles, incessant erection阴部瘙痒、肿痛、胀痛；睾丸暴痛（急性肿痛）；强中（阴茎异常勃起，久而不收）
- difficult urination, irregular menstruation, leukorrhea小便不利，月经不调，带下病
- plum pit qi, depression, fear and fright, worry and oppression梅核气，抑郁，惊恐，忧郁烦闷
- inflexibility of the back, lumbar pain脊背僵硬不灵活，腰痛
7 cun above medial malleolus, just posterior to crest of tibia. Needling: ⊥ 0.5-1.0 cun; ∠ 1-2 cun towards abdomen内踝尖上 7 寸，胫骨内侧面的后缘（紧贴胫骨嵴后方）。直刺 0.5 - 1.0 寸；或向腹部方向平刺（沿皮刺）1.0 - 2.0 寸1 cun posterior to SP-9. Needling: ⊥ 1-2 cun阴陵泉(SP-9)后方1寸处。针刺方法：直刺1.0 - 2.0寸。He-Sea (Water) Point 合穴（属水）Just superior to medial end of popliteal crease; anterior to tendons semimembranosis and semitendinosisNeedling: ⊥ 1-1.5 cun屈膝，在膝内侧，腘横纹内侧端上方的凹陷中；在半腱肌与半膜肌止端的前缘。直刺 1.0 - 1.5 寸FUNCTIONS功效
- Benefits bladder and genitals利膀胱，益生殖器
- Clears damp-heat from lower jiao清下焦湿热
- Invigorates blood and regulates menstruation活血通络
- Nourishes blood and yi养血滋阴
INDICATIONS症状
- swelling and itching of genitals, pain in genitals, impotence, difficult urination生殖器肿痒，阴中痛，阳痿，小便不利
- abdominal masses in women due to blood stasis, painful periods, infertility due to blood stasis, amenorrhea血瘀所致的妇女腹中包块（癥瘕）、通经、血瘀性不孕、闭经
4 cun above LV-8; between vastus medialis and sartorius . Needling: ⊥ or ∠ 1-2 cun曲泉穴 (LV-8) 上 4 寸；在股内侧肌与缝匠肌之间，直刺或斜刺 1.0 - 2.0 寸3 cun below ST-30 on anterior border of adductor longus . Needling:⊥or∠0.5-1.5 cun气冲穴 (ST-30) 直下 3 寸，长收肌的前缘。直刺或斜刺 0.5 - 1.5 寸2 cun below ST-30 on anterior border of adductor longus. Needling:⊥or∠0.5-1.5 cun气冲穴 (ST-30) 直下 2 寸，长收肌的前缘。直刺或斜刺 0.5 - 1.5 寸Inguinal crease, medial to femoral vein; 1 cun inferior and 2.5 cun lateral to REN-2. Needling:∠0.5-0.8 cun medially腹股沟斜纹中，股静脉内侧；曲骨穴 (REN-2) 旁开2.5寸，下方1寸。向内侧斜刺 0.5 - 0.8 寸（注意：避开动脉和静脉）Front-Mu Point of Spleen 脾之募穴Hui-Gathering Point of the Zang 八会穴之脏会Anterior and inferior to the free end of the 11th rib. Needling: _ 0.5-1.0 cun (laterally along rib)在侧腹部，当第11肋游离端的下方。沿肋骨边缘平刺 0.5 - 1.0 寸FUNCTIONS功效
- Harmonizes Liver and Spleen调和肝脾
INDICATIONS症状
- propensity to anger, distention and pain of the abdomen, borborygmus, diarrhea and loss of appetite, constipation易怒，腹胀腹痛，肠鸣，泄泻，纳呆，便秘
Front-Mu Point of Liver 肝之募穴In the 6th intercostal space, 4 cun lateral to midline. Needling:∠0.5-1.0 cun (medial or lateral) 在胸部，当第六肋间隙中，前正中线旁开 4 寸，向内或向外斜刺 0.5 - 1.0 寸（注意：不可深刺，以免伤及内脏）FUNCTIONS功效
- Invigorates blood and disperses masses活血消肿
- Harmonizes Liver and Stomach和胃降逆
INDICATIONS症状
- distention in hypochondria, sighing, breast distention胁肋胀痛，善太息（爱叹气）、乳房胀痛
- epigastric distention, hiccup, belching, vomiting, hardness of epigastrium 脘腹胀满、呃逆、嗳气、呕吐、胃脘部硬满
