HAND TAI YANG SMALL INTESTINECHANNEL

FUNCTIONS OF THE SMALL INTESTINE
Separates the clear from the turbid 泌别清浊
sends the clear to the Spleen where it is distributed to the rest of the body (some clear substances go directly to the blood through the Heart)送往脾，由脾分布至全身；部分清液经心直接入血。
sends the turbid to the Large Intestine, which conducts it out of the body
separates fluids送往大肠，由大肠将其排出体外。
OTHER CHARACTERISTICS
Paired with the Heart through its interior-exterior relationship与心构成经络上的心小肠相表里。
Paired with the UB through its Tai Yang relationship 与足太阳膀胱经同属“太阳经”
Even though the Small Intestine Channel separates the clear from the turbid and connects to the Stomach organ, there are no points on the SI channel that treat digestive disorders 尽管小肠经负责泌别清浊且联系胃腑，但在临床实践中，小肠经上的穴位很少直接用于治疗消化系统疾病。
Heart Primary Channel
Begins: SI-1少泽
ascends ulnar side of arm to shoulder and zig-zags along scapula 沿手臂尺侧上行至肩部，在肩胛骨处呈“之”字型循行
connects to DU-14 (like all yang channels do)连接大椎 (DU-14)（所有阳经均在此交会）
goes to the supraclavicular fossa (ST-12); descends through Heart, Stomach, and Small Intestine 进入缺盆 (ST-12)，下络心，循食道，过膈，抵胃，属小肠
Branch: ascends from supraclavicular fossa to the face and cheek, goes to outer canthus, loops around the ear从缺盆循颈上颊，至目外眦，入耳中
Branch:goes from SI-18 to UB-1 从颧髎 (SI-18) 斜抵目内眦，与睛明 (UB-1) 连接
Branch:from supraclavicular fossa; connects to ST-39 (lower he-sea point)从缺盆下行，联系下巨虚 (ST-39)（小肠下合穴）
Linkage: SI-18 → UB-1
Organs:SI, HT, ST小肠、心、胃。
PATHOLOGIES
deafness, yellow sclera, sore throat, swelling of the cheeks 耳聋、目黄、咽痛、腮肿
distention and pain in the lower abdomen 少腹（下腹）胀痛
pain in the posterior border of the lateral aspect of the shoulder and arm肩胛及上肢后缘尺侧疼痛
Luo Channel:SI-7 → HT channel → Ascends to LI-15从支正(SI-7) 别走心经，并上行至肩髃 (LI-15)
Divergent Channel:Shoulder → Axilla → HT → SI从肩部分出，进入腋下，络心，抵小肠
Sinew Channel:wrist, medial condyle of humerus, axilla, mastoid process, mandible, outer canthus, ST-8结于腕、肘内侧、腋下，上经乳后，结于耳后完骨、下颌，连及目外眦与头维穴 (ST-8)
SI-1少泽
Jing-Well (Metal) Point 井穴，五行属金
Ulnar side of little finger, 0.1 cun from corner of nail. Needling: ⊥ 0.1-0.2 cun, or prick to bleed
小指尺侧，指甲角旁开 0.1 寸
FUNCTIONS功效
Revives consciousness 醒神
Clears heat, expels wind-heat, and benefits sensory orifices清热，疏散风热，通利耳、目、口、咽
Promotes lactation and benefits breasts促进乳汁分泌，治疗乳腺疾患
INDICATIONS症状
loss of consciousness from wind stroke, heart pain, cold sensation below heart, chestpain and oppression, pain in the lateral costal region中风昏迷（卒中脱证），心痛，心下冷感，胸痛胸闷，胁肋疼痛
headache, dizziness, superficial visual obstruction, red eyes, nosebleed, deafness, tinnitus, heat in the mouth, mouth ulcers头痛，眩晕，目翳，目赤，鼻衄，耳聋、耳鸣，口中热、口腔溃疡
fever and chills without sweating, febrile disease, malaria, cough寒热往来无汗，热病，疟疾，咳嗽
swelling of the breast, breast abscess, poor lactation乳房肿胀，乳痈（急性乳腺炎），乳汁少
stiff neck, pain in shoulder/upper arm/elbow, numbness in arm, disorders of little finger项强，肩、上臂、肘部疼痛、手臂麻木，小指疾患（运动障碍或疼痛）
SI-2 前谷
Ying-Spring (Water) Point 荥穴，五行属水
Ulnar border of little finger, distal to MCP joint.Needling: ⊥ 0.5 cun
小指尺侧，第五掌指关节（MCP）远端赤白肉际处。

Clears wind-heat and reduces swelling清热消肿
Benefits eyes, nose, ears, throat改善眼、鼻、耳、咽喉不适
ACAP
INDICATIONS症状
bursting eye pain, red eyes, nasal congestion, nosebleed, tinnitus眼睛胀痛发红、鼻塞鼻出血、耳鸣
swelling and pain of the neck, throat pain the prevents swallowing, swelling of cheek, mumps颈部肿痛、咽喉痛（影响吞咽）、颊肿、腮腺炎（痄腮）

Ulnar border of hand, between base of 5th metacarpal bone and triquetral bone.Needling: ⊥ 0.3-0.5 cun

SI-5阳谷
Jing-River (Fire) Point 经穴，属火
Ulnar border of wrist, between head of ulna and triquetral bone.Needling: ⊥ 0.3-0.5 cun
