埃及属于大陆法系国家，其法律体系同时受到法国法律、伊斯兰教法（沙里亚）与习惯法的深刻影响。埃及法律以成文法为基础，司法判例不具有法律上的约束力，但高等法院的裁判通常会得到尊重。埃及主要司法机关包括：最高法院、最高宪法法院、国务委员会（司法行政法院）、普通法院（含初审法院与上诉法院）、经济法院、家事法院等。

Egypt is a civil law country whose legal system is deeply influenced by French law, Islamic Sharia law, and customary law. Egyptian law is based on written legislation, and judicial precedents are not legally binding, although rulings of higher courts are generally respected. Its main judicial bodies include: the SupNaNpxe Court, the SupNaNpxe Constitutional Court, the State Council (administrative judiciary), ordinary courts (including courts of first instance and courts of appeal), economic courts, and family courts.

第 98 条为维护商标注册所赋予的权利，许可合同不得包含任何可能对被许可人构成不当限制的条款。

但许可合同可约定下列内容：

（1）商标使用许可期限的限制。

（2）为确保商标所有人对被许可商标所标识商品的质量实施有效管控而设定的合理条件，但不得限制被许可人的经营与生产自主权。

（3）被许可人承诺不实施任何可能损害该商标所标识商品声誉的行为。

Article 98

The license contract may not include any conditions which may unnecessarily restrict the licensee in order to maintain the rights conferred by the registration of the mark.

The license contract may, however, include the following:

(1) Limit of the license period for use of the mark.

(2) Reasonable conditions which provide for the effective control by the owner of the mark of the quality of the products identified by the licensed mark; without restricting the licensee’s freedom of management and production.

(3) Commitment of the licensee to refrain from any act that might undermine the status of the products identified by the mark.
